Ingredients of Oats Aloo Cutlet
- 150 gm oats
- 4 potato
- 1/4 cup coriander leaves
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cup refined oil
- salt as required
- 50 gm all purpose flour
- 4 green chilli
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
How to prepare cutlet
· Step 1
To prepare this delicious cutlet recipe, put a pressure cooker on medium flame and add potatoes in it along with enough water. Close the lid and pressure cook them for 2-3 whistles. Once done, let the steam release on its own and strain the water. Once the potatoes are cool enough to handle, peel and mash them in a large bowl. Wash coriander leaves under running water and finely chop them in a medium bowl, and keep aside until required. Now, peel the onion and finely chop in a small bowl. Also, chop the green chillies in a small bowl.
· Step 2
Take a large bowl and combine together oats, mashed potatoes, coriander leaves, onion, green chilies, chaat and garam masala powder, salt and red chili powder. Afterwards, in a separate bowl make a smooth and thick batter with the all purpose flour (maida) and enough water.
· Step 3
Next, divide the potato mix into small portions and shape them into small balls. Dip the balls in the maida batter and then roll them in dry oats.
· Step 4
Then, put a non-stick pan over medium flame and heat oil in it. Once the oil is hot enough, place the prepared balls in it carefully and shallow fry them. Press them a little to make cutlets and turn upside down to cook from both sides till they are golden brown in colour.

Once done, transfer these cutlets to a plate covered with kitchen towel, and serve hot with ketchup or green chutney. Enjoy the delicious treat! (Note: You can pair this cutlet with tea/coffee, as you like.)
